as an artist i enjoy the struggle as much as i do the end product. i mix color, typography, a bit of faith, sentimental imagery and a laugh now and then to take you on the journey with me.

i prefer to start with an unknown and let it and pull me to completion. many times i take the wrong road and have to double back to find the right path. the final image is often a simplification of a journey full of twists and sharp turns along the way. the ultimate challenge is to convey emotional transparency along each twist and turn. i believe emotional truth to be the defining characteristic of an artist.

2. What is your favorite medium?
I love the water based oils. They are like traditional oils, but clean up with soap and water and so much friendlier to the environment! I also have some acrylic more “fun” art on wood panels – some days I just can’t choose my favorite!

3. What subject matter(s) are you most drawn to?
I love anything with great light and color – shiny objects, landscapes, and people.

4. What types of pieces will you have in the art sale?
I will have everything from coke cans and small beach scenes to large guitars and landscapes!

5. Tell us something unique that sets you apart.
Although I love to paint local scenes, my husband is from Switerland, and I have lived, and been fortunate to travel back there every few years to take pictures and paint, giving me a unique perspective!
